BANGOLAN, Cameroon — HRM Senator Fon Chafah Isaac returned to his Fondom in Bangolan on Sunday for the first time in ten years, accompanied by local elites and community leaders.

The visit marked a historic reunion between the senator and his people, emphasizing the enduring link between traditional authority, modern political leadership and the people.

During the visit, Senator Justice Fon Chafah Isaac delivered a royal proclamation affirming the sacred authority entrusted to him by his ancestors. “By the sacred will of our ancestors and the customs of our forefathers, the Throne of Bangolan was entrusted to me,” he declared. He stressed that this authority “has never been sold, never surrendered, and never compromised” and spoke in the fullness of that traditional mandate, witnessed by the spirits of the land.

In his proclamation, he warned that “every spell, every bondage, every evil intention raised against the people of Bangolan is broken. It is null. It is powerless,” and reminded the community that the gods of Bangolan “uphold justice and righteousness; they do not stand with division or chaos.”

He also released blessings for the Fondom, calling for unity, prosperity, peace, flourishing farms, joyful homes, and children who grow in strength and wisdom.

The Fon’s speech was accompanied by exchanges with local leaders, reflecting on development initiatives and the ongoing role of the Fondom in supporting social and economic growth.

Residents welcomed the visit as historic, saying it strengthened community cohesion and reaffirmed the Fon’s commitment to his people.
